Release status, prototype enclosure files, illustrated assembly instructions and developer resources.
The first public package is being prepared: one Windows companion, matched device firmware and a straightforward setup flow.
See the current development status ↗Companion console, AI setup and device controls.
Installer coming soonMatched releases and wireless updates for compatible devices.
Public package in preparationThe existing prototype update tools are not a public browser flasher. A tested release package will appear here when ready.
The original illustrated Capsule documentation: parts, assembly, wiring, checks and troubleshooting. These guides describe the prototype and should be matched to its hardware revision.
Start with the parts list, solder and test on the bench, assemble the caps and sled, then bring the enclosure together. Includes a saved step checklist and battery precautions.
Read the build guide ↗The alternate Build 1 edition of the illustrated assembly guide. Keep it alongside your exact prototype revision and use its step-by-step checks.
Open Build 1 ↗The existing harness reference, with labelled connections and wiring diagrams. Use it with the matching board and firmware—not as a universal wiring map.

Orbit is a working prototype, and it is fun to use. We intend to optimize it, make it smaller, develop a dedicated circuit board to simplify assembly, and offer an assembled version for sale. The smaller hardware and custom board are still in development; there is no finished production version available yet.
The Capsule v1 enclosure set includes individual STL models and numbered 3MF print plates, plus fit-test pieces and alternate parts.
These are the actual project files, packaged with a revision note so the variants stay identifiable. They are prototype resources, not final production manufacturing files.

Software. Firmware. Hardware.
The open-source repository includes the Windows companion, device firmware and Capsule hardware resources. We encourage new integrations, alternate interfaces, enclosure changes and independent versions of Orbit.
The public GitHub repository contains the companion software, firmware, Capsule enclosure files, build guides and website. Fork it, report issues or contribute an integration. Software is MIT licensed; original hardware uses CERN-OHL-P-2.0. The device shown is the first prototype; a smaller, portable revision is in development for the intended assembled product, with release dependent on production readiness.
